Patrols sit in line.
The Scoutmaster tells a yarn bringing in the uses of
various knots.
This can be prepared beforehand, and
read out if necessary.
Each Leader has two pieces of rope, and when the Scout
master mentions the word " knot " he ties the knot he
would use in the circumstances, and the first Leader to
hold it up above his head wins the point for his Patrol.
The ropes are then passed to the next Scout, who ties the
next knot and so on down the Patrol.
