Unless the beds of the Patrols can be placed near together this cannot be a Patrol game--but you can make it a side game, the beds nearest together forming a " side " or team ".

Each " side " needs a piece of rope, joined into a circle, long enough to be held by all the side. " Tommy " is a biggish spot marked on each rope (red ink does quite well).

When the signal is given each side passes the rope circle round as quickly as possible, the game being to see which side can get " Tommy " right round first.

The rope should be the soft kind, otherwise sore fingers may be caused.

Another way of using the rope circle is to pass it round till the whistle blows.

Whoever has or is nearest to " Tommy " has to answer a question, and gains or loses a " life ".
