The Pack is divided in two.
The beds are lined up on
each side of the Scouter, who holds a set of traffic lights
(manufacture described below).
The Cubs are " driving "
any vehicle they wish to represent, e.g. bus, car, motor-bike,
etc.
When the lights show red to one side, they make
appropriate noises of screaming tires and signs of putting
on brakes.
When amber follows red they are " ready ",
on green they move off.
Meanwhile the other side see
different colors of the traffic light combination.
The
winners were awarded little cards with registration numbers
written on, and after a period of about four weeks each
Cub was quite proficient at recognizing the order of the
traffic lights combination.
