This is an Americanized version of the Advancement requirements of the international Independent Scouting movement.

Note that there are no "Scout Spirit" requirements, nor are there any "Scoutmaster Conferences" or "Boards of Review."  In Traditional Scouting, advancement in the "Game" of Scouting is based purely on the mastery of Scoutcraft.  The Aim of Citizenship is done through indirect means.
