Can I suggest a link?  The definitive PowerPoint FAQ is located at www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/

This FAQ mainly concerns the program itself, not the content of the presentation. There is a link there to other fantastic PowerPoint support resources, including design issues, at this site. FYI, the guy that maintains this one is the "main" support guy on the Microsoft PowerPoint newsgroups.

If I may be so bold, I can offer one more tidbit to this subject: Remember that YOU are doing the presentation, the PowerPoint slides are simply a tool you use. Basic presentation skills are always necessary, whether you choose to utilize the sofware or not...so don't read a bunch of slides and call that a PowerPoint Presentation!!! ;-)
