By A. W. N. MackenzieOne Patrol (Indians) competes against four or five Patrols (Settlers). A piece of ground is marked out which is the prison. The Indians get ten minutes start and hide anywhere within a wooded piece of country, the boundaries of which are known to all of the players. After ten minutes the Settlers move out of the prison to capture the marauding Indians. The Indians may leave their places of concealment if they wish and may resist capture. After capture they may, at any time, struggle to escape. Each Indian when captured must be taken to the prison but may escape at any time if he is able to do so. The Settlers should have a guard at the prison to prevent this. Prisoners may not be tied in any way. After the agreed on time limit, if any of the Indians are still at liberty the Settlers lose. |
